Securing an efficient and prosperous medical practice can be done through acquiring a fine physician or practice manager. Finding such a candidate would be challenging but as the company envisions a lasting goal, it would be worthwhile. Dealings and negotiation could be done through a valuable assessment of the candidate and its capability to initiate practice within the workforce.

Recruiting the best candidate would inevitably need a good recruiter. Being a good recruiter is half-way of the process as they are fully responsible for bringing in a good applicant. This includes procedures of contract negotiation wherein the compensation is discussed. Also, setting up interviews would be necessary to assess the applicant.

Here are some of the good characteristics to look for during an interview:

·         Supplemental academic background for practice managers

·         Training experience of physicians

·         Sound business judgment

·         Specific characteristics for practice managers and physicians

The responsibility of the recruiter towards finding the best candidates shall be taken as a grain of salt. Companies must ensure that their recruiters completely understand the goal of the company. Neglecting such matters would be detrimental to the efficiency of the whole process.

Recruiters should be mindful of the negative characteristics of applicants during the selective process. Here are some things that they should be aware of:

·         Raising immediate questions about salary and working hours

·         Past experiences with their co-workers

·         Poor people skills

·         Missing out points about patient care

Finding the best candidate for practice manager and physician positions could be beneficial for the company in the long run. With this in mind, it is important to realise the true needs and requirements of the company to ensure efficiency. The role of the recruiter is, therefore, a very integral aspect of the whole corporate progress.
