A webinar education event for every practitioner interested in dealing with the inevitable stress, creating a positive culture at work and supporting colleagues with mental health issues. Various strategies will be discussed including meticulous time management, strengthening personal resilience, managing conflict and criticism, dealing with times of immense stress and helping colleagues seek help. Presented by GP, Dr Leanne Rowe, previously Chairman of the RACGP and Deputy Chancellor of Monash University.

Relevance to General Practice

All general practitioners are subject to the Medical Board Good Medical Practice code of conduct . Section 9 Ensuring doctors' health states the importance of maintaining your own health and wellbeing and seeking an appropriate work-life balance. It also includes a responsibility to assist medical colleagues to maintain good health. The RACGP Curriculum for Australian General Practice 2016 define doctors health to include behaviours of self care, safe, effective and appropriate utilisation of the health system involvement in appropriate personal health screening 
practice of appropriate health promoting behaviours. Doctors' health also includes the provision of appropriate healthcare to other doctors and their family members. A healthy practitioner will provide better patient care.
