  • : Online

This GP lecture entitled This GP lecture entitled Gynaecology overview is designed to update the GP on some of the common difficulties women can experience during their pregnancy and problems that can occur after child birth.

Relevance to General Practice

GP's often play an important role in providing antenatal care. There are a variety of models in which GP's can provide this care. Regardless of the level of training a GP has in antenatal care, all GP's should have the ability to recognise red flags in pregnancy that highlight the need for further investigation. Primary care physicians have a substantial role in the management of female pelvic organ prolapse (FPOP), as they are well placed to provide information to patients of all ages.
