148706 - Registrar Series - Common GP Problems

  • : Online

In this workshop we will examine some of these more common presentations. Through interactive case-study discussion, we will cover the art of history-taking, provide advice on performing a thorough examination, and discuss reaching the correct diagnosis and providing appropriate treatment.

Relevance to General Practice

As the initial point of contact for patients, general practitioners see the widest range of conditions of any speciality.

Thus, the ability to correctly diagnose and treat conditions, both common and rare, is paramount. GPs must have a thorough working knowledge of at least 167 presentations if they are to correctly manage 85% of the conditions presented during consultation.

This workshop aims to improve patient outcomes by addressing the management of common GP problems.
