  • : Online
Relevance to General Practice

An infant with a neck mass is a common presentation to general GPs and causes significant concern for parents. The presentation of neck masses in children has an array of possible differential diagnoses that are distinct from those seen in adults. The relative rarity of malignancies combined with the high incidence of asymptomatic lymphadenopathy empasises the need for GPs to be aware of the broad differential diagnosis and red flags to ensure appropriate investigation and management.
