154387 - Parents’ Evaluation of Developmental Status (PEDS) Courses 1 and 2

  • : Online

Parents’ Evaluation of Developmental Status (PEDS) is an evidence-based method for detecting and addressing developmental and behavioural problems in children aged from birth to seven years and 11 months. PEDS is a simple, 10-item questionnaire that is completed by and with the parent. PEDS eLearning supports General Practitioners (GPs) to use this evidence-based tool to talk with parents about any concerns they have about their child as part of a usual health check.

Relevance to General Practice

General Practitioners play a significant and ongoing role in the early detection, assessment and treatment of childhood health development and wellbeing. Many families choose GP clinics for their child’s developmental checks rather than attending child and family health services. PEDS eLearning supports GPs to use this evidence-based tool to talk with parents about any concerns they have about their child as part of a usual health check.
