159936 - GPCE - Exasperating exacerbations - managing the moderate to severe COPD patient
- : Online
The prevention of exacerbations is a key focus in managing COPD patients. 1 in 2 COPD patients hospitalised due to an exacerbation may die within 4 years, and COPD is the second-leading cause of avoidable hospital admissions in Australia (2013-14). It is the fifth leading cause of death (2015). This workshop will review the latest management options and new advances in pharmacological strategies in order to prevent exacerbations in moderate to severe COPD patients.
