To identify and discuss what Nuclear Medicine studies offer amongst the GP practice and to understand the results and limitations of common studies.
Relevance to General PracticeIt is important that general practitioners, being the first point of contact for patients be aware of the different imaging modalities available for patient diagnosis and disease prevention as well as the risks and benefits for each.
This educational event will provide an opportunity for GP's to improve their management of patients by educating them on Nuclear Medicine techniques such as SPECT CT, PET CT and DEXA. We will present various case studies explaining the role of Nuclear Medicine in the clinical settings and will discuss their results and limitations.
