This ALM will guide GPs through the prevention, diagnosis and management of skin cancers. Sun exposure and protection recommendations for sufficient vitamin D will be covered in this comprehensive workshop, as well as clinical diagnosis and management of the most common skin cancers in Australia, when to refer, biopsy techniques and the importance of a systematic approach to skin examination and patient education.

Relevance to General Practice

The GPCE offers GP delegates over 50 topic choices over three days. The subjects span many therapeutic areas allowing GPs to self-select the topics of most interest to the individual and their practice.
