164043 - Gynaecology Update for GPs: August 2019

  • : Online

This update will focus on common but challenging gynaecological presentations in General Practice, including the diagnosis and management of vulval dermatoses, cysts and abnormal uterine bleeding. It will also discuss the medical management of termination of pregnancy in the context of a GP clinic setting, to answer questions GPs may have around offering this service themselves. Finally, the O&G department would like to update GPs on local service changes and seek GP feedback on improvement opportunities

Relevance to General Practice

As 56.7% of Australian general practice consultations are with women, the gender-specific primary health needs of women constitute a significant proportion of the general practice workload.
