Relevance to General Practice
As first point-of-contact, general practitioners see the widest range of conditions of any specialty and this has consequences for continuing medical education. GPs need to know a lot about the conditions they see daily or weekly. GPs are also required to have updated skills and knowledge from time to time on the new advances in treatment & management and services available in their local health networks for further referrals to provide better patient care.
