The aim of this CPD is to inform and educate general practitioners in diagnosis and treatments options for the management of Brain Malignancies.
Relevance to General PracticeThe 2017 Australian Institute of Health and Welfare ‘Cancer in Australia’ report highlights the rising incidence rates of cancer in Australia. In 2017, it is estimated that the risk of an individual being diagnosed with cancer by their 85th birthday will be 1 in 2. In 2013, there were 124,465 new cases of cancer diagnosed in Australia. With patients presenting at their GP with various cancers and blood disorders it is vital that GPs are kept updated with the latest information, treatment and management options.
