This activity will arm GP's with the knowledge to apply best practice treatment for patients presenting to their clinics with mental health issues in particular Schizophrenia and Depression. It will also cover the challenges of treating depression in patients receiving cancer treatment

Most patients who seek professional help for depression visit a general practitioner, with more Australians receiving clinical care from a GP than all other health professionals combined. 2. 
Many GP's report concern that time is a limiting factor in their capacity to address psychological issues, including depression. 4,6.
