165456 - Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital GP Education Event: Chronic Diseae & Shared Care
An interactive workshop incorporating lectures and medical simulation to reinforce leanings on the following topics, cardiac arrest, adult airways, acute coronary syndrome and common ECG's in a patient centered context.
Relevance to General PracticeThis programme allows local Emergency Physicians to provide training and support to General Practitioners who are providing, or may be called on to provide emergency medical care in rural hospitals and health centres. Where practical this education will be provided within the clinical setting using the facilities staff, equipment and processes. In consultation with rural GPs and hospitals in North and North West Tasmania and the University of Tasmania, a program has been formulated to address recognised areas where skills are required or need to be refreshed. This process has been aided by comprehensive feedback which allowed previous attendants of EMET’s accredited program to identify future learning needs.
