PCOS: an updated overview

Relevance to General Practice

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a chronic condition that affects 8-13% of reproductive-aged women, with up to 70% of affected women remaining undiagnosed. PCOS has serious implications for women’s health. With new guidelines released in 2018, for the assessment and management of PCOS, it is crucial that GPs and health professionals are kept up to date with new evidence and treatment protocols to enable effective care to women affected by this condition, and this presentation aims to address this. See more in the attached needs assessment.
