184162 - CPD Activity title: How to Treat quiz: Faecal incontinence

  • : Online

The education aims to equip GPs with a system of assessment to diagnose faecal incontinence early, and mange this distressing condition appropriately, either with conservative measures or surgical referral if indicated. This education covers the contemporary approach to diagnosing, investigating and managing patients with symptoms of incontinence to faeces.

Relevance to General Practice

Faecal incontinence is a common and treatment is readily available and effective. The stigma associated with this condition should be mitigated by the routine discussion of patients’ bowel function.
