78992 - Women's sexual and reproductive health online modules

  • : Online

AOGP have developed a series of women’s sexual and reproductive health training modules for GPs to address a range of women’s health issues across the lifespan. These include: Contraception, obstetric shared care, breastfeeding and menopause.

Relevance to General Practice

The RACGP acknowledges that the ‘general practice management of women’s health involves a holistic patient centered approach to the physical, mental and emotional health of women, their families, and their relationships. Women’s health needs to be understood in the context of their psychosocial and cultural environment’ (RACGP 2011).
The AMA recognises the importance of promoting sexual and reproductive health within the context of women’s health across the lifespan.
Upon completion of this training, a doctor will be skilled to manage a range of women’s sexual and reproductive health issues which support the AMA’s statement and follow the RACGPs Women’s Health curriculum.
