Join this self-paced interactive online course to learn the fundamental concepts and issues surrounding mood disorders.
This course will firstly discuss the problem of mood disorders, and issues relating to nosology, epidemiology and genetics. You will learn the symptoms of depression, dysthymia and bipolar disorder and examine the long-term outcome of mood disorders and suicide. You will also learn about the relationship between mood disorders and gender, cognitive impairment, circadian rhythms, exercise, immunology and oxidative stress, and stress and trauma.
This course accepts enrolments throughout the year and does not have any prerequisite requirements.
