Medication related causes of postural hypotension include:
- Vasodilators
- Nitrates (e.g. isosorbide mononitrate)
- Adrenoceptor blockers (especially α-adrenoceptor blockers such as doxazosin)
- Beta blockers (e.g. atenolol, propranolol)
- Diuretics (e.g. bendrofluazide, frusemide)
- Tranquilisers/hypnotics (e.g. haloperidol)
- Tricyclic antidepressants (e.g. amitriptyline)
