Learning Objectives
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Identify the clinical history of acute asthma and risk of life-threatening disease
The history in acute asthma is related to the underlying pathophysiology, and is a strong indicator of a diagnosis of acute asthma and future prognosis. Although the history may not be elicited in full at first presentation in acute asthma, it is important to examine prior to discharge to guide management.
