Alcohol and Other Drug Screener (ASSIST tool) - Deniliquin
The Alcohol, Smoking and Substance Involvement Screening Test (ASSIST) was developed for the World Health Organization by an international group of addiction specialists to detect and manage substance use and related harms in primary and general health care settings. The ASSIST is a validated, reliable and cross-culturally relevant screening tool that links with brief intervention, which has shown to reduce the individual’s use of substances and the associated harms on themselves, their family and the community.
