This session provides an introduction to a limited number of analgesic agents used during and after anaesthesia. It covers the opioids fentanyl and morphine for intraoperative and postoperative analgesia respectively. The use of the simple analgesic paracetamol and the non-steroidal inflammatory drugs, ibuprofen and diclofenac, are also introduced.
