Assist Clients with Medication Skill Set (CHCSS00070)
Upskilling for Personal Care WorkersThis qualification provides the skills and knowledge for Personal Care Workers to safely and professionally assist clients to administer medications in aged care settings under the supervision of Registered or Enrolled Nurses.
Course overview- Delivered by RNs or ENs with current aged care experience and current AHPRA registration
- Face to face classroom delivery across 3 days
- Simulation activities to practice skills
- Theory assessment followed by practical assessment in your workplace
HLTAAP001 Recognise healthy body systems (Credit Transfer may apply)
HLTHPS006 Assist clients with medication
- Courses open to Personal Care Workers or Leisure & Health Workers
- Candidates are required to complete a Pre Training Review and Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment when applying for enrolment
- Candidates must be supported by their employer to undertake the workplace based assessment for this Skill Set
