Best Practice in Transgender Health: A workshop for GPs & Health Providers

This workshop has been developed for health professionals who work with transgender people, or wish to know more about providing health services to this community and introduces participants to the professional skills needed for working safely, effectively and respectfully with trans communities.
Presenters are among the leading health care providers, educators and community members with training and experience in providing different aspects of health care to trans people.
The workshop takes a biopsychosocial approach, and includes expert presenters who represent each of these aspects.
Biological topics include endocrine treatments, surgical treatments and voice training.
Psychological aspects include the diagnosis of Gender Dysphoria, mental health issues in trans people, and Social topic covered include workplace transition, supporting trans communities, engaging with gender diverse clients, and legal issues for trans people.
This workshop is designed for General Practitioners, Practice Nurses and all those working in direct patient care in community settings.
