This world-class elearning resource helps newly qualified doctors to develop the skills, understanding and attitudes to become proficient and caring medical practitioners. It is relevant to clinicians across the world.

Enhancing professional and clinical skills

The programme covers the core clinical and professional skills and behaviours needed by doctors, from trust through to communication, leadership, ethics, safety and quality improvement. The content includes many interactive features, such as video clips, animations and questions, which help to put theoretical knowledge into a practical context.

Using scenario-based exercises, you can test your clinical skills in diagnosing and managing a patient case by reviewing clinical data and a medical history in a virtual consulting room.

Course Structure

This online foundation programme consists of a number of modules. Each module is divided into a number of easily manageable learning session.  Learning session takes around 20 to 30 minutes each to complete.

Modules cover topics such as clinical assessment, and prioritisation, holistic planning, communication and care and continuity of care.  Further modules on upholding values, fitness to practise, ethics and law, CPD, understanding medicine and quality improvement.

Finally a modules on specific areas of core learning cover over ten additional areas such as leadership, frailty, end of life care, teaching skills, health promotion and public health amongst other key topics.

eIntegrity programmes are developed by NHS Health Education England’s e-Learning for Healthcare programme (HEE e-LfH). 

The programmes are high quality self-directed learning programmes.  They are designed to support training and CPD and are excellent resources alongside other traditional teaching methodologies.  They have been developed by the UK NHS for use in the NHS.  However, many of the programmes have international relevance, particularly the specialty training programmes which are often mapped to UK specialty training curricula.
