Fundamentals of acute care and treatment in stroke (FACTS) 1
Welcome to the Fundamentals of Acute Care and Treatment in Stroke (FACTS) Online Educational Resource, Part 1. The purpose of this resource is to provide an overview of stroke care across the entire pathway. Upon completion you should have a factual level (level 2) of knowledge regarding the fundamental aspects of care provision after stroke. This resource covers the knowledge sections of the 16 elements of stroke care as outlined in the Stroke-Specific Education Framework (SSEF) and is based on the Stroke Care Pathway and relevant best practice guidelines.
The elements of stroke care are linked and, to cover the full pathway, you will need to work through each section. Each section includes relevant links to further information, references and useful resources should you wish to find out more. It should take no more than 2 hours to complete.
