HbA1c Point-of-Care Testing Module
The APPN HbA1c Point-of-Care Testing Module is designed to support General Practitioners and other healthcare professionals in understanding and implementing PoCT for glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c). With recent updates to the Medicare Benefits Schedule allowing up to three PoCT HbA1c tests per year per patient, this module provides timely and practical guidance. It includes information on suitable devices approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), analytical performance criteria, and quality management standards. The course is part of APPN’s broader competency framework and includes CPD tracking. Participants will gain insights into device selection, test interpretation, and integration into routine practice. This module is ideal for GPs aiming to enhance diabetes care efficiency and accessibility within their clinics.
