Healthy living for patients over 65

This short, 1 hour education module explores the changing health requirements for patients over 65 years of age, and provides an overview of the strategies for minimising muscle loss through exercise and diet.
On completion of this education activity participants will be able to:
- Describe risks associated with muscle loss in older patients.
- Outline strategies for optimising muscle health over 65 years of age.
- Identify changing nutritional needs after 65 years of age.
- Be aware of the importance of interdisciplinary care in patients over 65 years of age, including the role of dietitians and exercise physiologists.
