HLT54121 – Diploma of Nursing
The HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing offered by the Institute of Health and Nursing Australia (IHNA) is a nationally recognized qualification designed to prepare students for a rewarding career as an Enrolled Nurse. Delivered in a blended format, the program combines online theory classes with on-campus simulation workshops, ensuring students gain both academic knowledge and practical skills. A key component of the course is the Professional Experience Placement (PEP), which requires 400 hours of supervised clinical practice in hospitals, aged care facilities, and other healthcare environments.
The course duration is 18 months, with six intakes per year, allowing students flexibility in starting their nursing journey. IHNA emphasizes inclusivity, encouraging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to enroll, and provides comprehensive student support including 24/7 access to resources, personalized guidance, and career counseling.
The curriculum covers essential areas such as patient care, administering medications, supporting patient well-being, and applying clinical judgment in diverse healthcare settings. Graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), opening pathways to employment in hospitals, aged care facilities, community health centers, and other healthcare institutions.
IHNA is recognized as one of the largest providers of the Diploma of Nursing in Australia, offering state-of-the-art facilities, industry connections, and simulation exercises that replicate real-world scenarios. With government funding available for eligible students, the program is accessible and affordable. Ultimately, the Diploma of Nursing equips learners with the skills, confidence, and professional recognition needed to make a meaningful impact in healthcare and patient outcomes.
