Lift the Lid Walk for Mental Health – Mont Albert & Surrey Hills
The Lift the Lid Walk for Mental Health is a national initiative organized by Australian Rotary Health to raise awareness and vital funds for mental health research. The Mont Albert & Surrey Hills edition of the walk will take place on Sunday, 22 March 2026 at Gardiners Creek Reserve, Burwood. This event is part of a broader campaign encouraging communities across Australia to “get walking and get talking” about mental health.
The walk is designed to be inclusive, welcoming participants of all ages and backgrounds. Adults can register for a fee of $30, which includes a commemorative t-shirt, while children aged 15 and under can join free of charge (without a shirt). The event emphasizes community spirit, conversation, and collective action, aiming to reduce stigma and promote open dialogue around mental health challenges.
Funds raised through the walk directly support Australian Rotary Health, one of the largest independent funders of mental health research in Australia.
