The webinar will cover rehabilitation and integrity for the shoulder in contact sports. It will be in the form of a video outlining the principles of shoulder rehabilitation, then taking you through pertinent exercise choices from low level rehab, right back to beyond return to play
Hamish is currently co-director of Elite Rehab and Sports Physiotherapy in Canberra. We have a team of 8 physiotherapists, 3 exercise physiologists and a nutritionist. Hamish has extensive experience working with both amateur and elite athletes. Hamish has worked in rugby for the past 15 years. Amongst Hamish’s achievements are Head and Team Physiotherapist of the Australian Rugby Union team, the Wallabies; as well as Head and Team Physiotherapist of the Brumbies Super Rugby team. Hamish has also worked with a number of club sides including Tuggeranong Vikings and Royals in Canberra, and Southern Districts in Sydney. Outside of rugby Hamish has worked in football and athletics. Recently Hamish has consulted to the Australian Institute of Sport and The Canberra Hospital Emergency Department. He currently consults to the Ricoh Black Rams Rugby Football Club in Japan.
Hamish has degrees in Physiotherapy and Human Movement. He also holds a Masters of Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Hamish has lectured on sports physiotherapy courses and supervised Sports Physiotherapy Masters students. He has a special interest in shoulder rehabilitation.
