We’re pleased to invite you to Workshop 1 in the Advance Your IBD Knowledge 2025 series—a free, six-part national online program developed to support best-practice care for people living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
This program is delivered in partnership by Crohn’s & Colitis Australia (CCA), the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA), and AGPAL. It’s tailored for GPs and physicians and focuses on early detection, clinical management, and coordinated care for IBD.
Workshop 1 - The GP’s role in early detection of Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis
- Speakers: Dr Scott Phipps (GP) and Dr Emi Khoo (Gastroenterologist)
- Date: Wednesday 25 June 2025
- Time: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM AEST
- Format: Online (live session)
This interactive 90-minute session will explore key signs and symptoms of IBD in general practice, and guide participants through real-world clinical scenarios and decision-making pathways. You’ll gain practical tools to support timely diagnosis and referrals.

- Insights from case discussions led by clinical experts
- Improved knowledge of referral and care coordination pathways
CPD: Eligible for 4 CPD hours (3 EA, 1 RP) upon completing the live session and accompanying online module.
