Course description

Family Planning NSW Nurses Short Course provides theoretical upskilling in reproductive and sexual health and includes a Cervical Screening Module with practice on anatomical models and also the opportunity for speculum insertion on practice patients.

The course consists of a two day workshop followed by a three month online program which will enable participants a greater understanding of reproductive and sexual health issues, applicable to the health promotion, nursing and research fields. Topics covered include history taking, contraception, sexually transmissable infections, cervical screening, breast awareness, disability, diversity, menopause and men's health.
