Online Course: Predicting Outcomes in Whiplash

  • : Online
Introduction

Whiplash is an unfortunately common injury type that injures the soft tissues of the neck and often results in a range of presentations that are referred to as Whiplash Associated Disorders (WAD). In this course Chris Worsfold provides a concise summary of the wealth of research that has been conducted around these symptoms and disorders to highlight a group of indicators that provide a reliable predictive model for ultimate patient treatment outcomes. Understanding how to identify and interpret these signs offers the clinician a very useful approach to make clinical decisions and optimise patient management in cases of whiplash. This course will explore the four indicators identified by research as reliable predictors of ultimate recovery from whiplash injury. Learn how to identify each of these factors during patient assessment and how to interpret these findings, in particular discover how these should influence your approach to clinical management during the acute and chronic phases of whiplash symptoms.
