This is a two day workshop which provide knowledge and skills to the GP to be able to assess, formulate and execute aesthetic treatments for their patients skin in relation to common dermatological conditions. This certificate course which combines didactic lectures and practical sessions in a small group setting. The certificate course will provide the clinician with a range of skills at an introductory level.

Pre course learning activity - a reflective questionnaire and pre course reading articles
88 Knowledge based questions with a minimum pass mark of 80%. This is an open book exam. 88 Applied knowledge based questions with a minimum pass mark of 80%. This is an open book exam.
Develop a systematic approach to identify basic facial anatomy and determine safe aesthetic treatment.
Recall the basic concepts of aesthetic medicine including key elements of facial anaesthesia and safe practices.
Recognise specific conditions that require facial peels and dermal fillers.
Evaluate the use of skin conditioning and retinoids in aesthetic medicine.
Compare and contrast microdermabrasion, photodynamic light therapy, platelet rich plasma therapy and microneedling.
There are a number of pre-course reading articles and in preparation for the workshop and post workshop, there are 88 Knowledge exams and 88 Applied Knowledge exams - both requiring a pass mark of 80%
