Who would benefit from this course
A course for busy GPs who have completed either the FPAA National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health for Doctors course, the Doctors Short Course in Reproductive and Sexual Health, or who wish to update knowledge and experience of reproductive and sexual health.
This one day course comprises lectures and small group work. Participants will be requested to offer deidentified case studies from their own practice. Brief pre-course and post-course activities
- Contraceptive update from the new handbook Contraception: an Australian Clinical Practice Handbook 4th Edition
- Menopause update and case studies
- The New National Cervical Screening Program in practice
- STIs - whats new?
- Case studies in reproduction and sexual health
Basic knowledge and experience in reproductive and sexual health.
Entry requirements / eligibility
General Practitioners with full general medical registration who have been practising for some time, or who previously have completed the FPAA National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health for Doctors course or the Doctors Short Course in Reproductive and Sexual Health.
Participants to have updated knowledge in reproductive and sexual health and have had an opportunity to discuss their own cases with experienced clinicians.
Pre-reading and related activities must be completed before attendance at the face-to face-workshop.
