SARGA Conference 2026

The SARGA Conference is a premier clinical education event dedicated to Rural Generalist Anaesthetists, taking place from 12–14 February 2026 in the scenic Barossa Valley, South Australia. Hosted by the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM), this biennial conference provides a unique platform for RG registrars and Fellows to enhance their skills, meet credentialing requirements, and engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Attendees will benefit from a comprehensive program that combines hands-on clinical skill stations, interactive workshops, and expert-led presentations. The conference offers 5 CPD hours of educational activities and 7 CPD hours of performance review, including anaesthetic performance review MOPS activities. Those participating in the “CICO” session will also gain credit for an anaesthetics emergency response MOPS activity.

The program spans 2.5 days and includes specialised sessions such as ophthalmic anaesthesia masterclasses, regional anaesthesia workshops, ultrasound bootcamps, and emergency response training. Social events like the Welcome Reception and conference dinner provide opportunities for networking and community building among peers dedicated to rural anaesthetic care.

Registration fees cover conference sessions, meals, and social functions, with partner packages available. Importantly, eligible participants can access up to $4,000 in funding support through the Rural Procedural Grants Program, making attendance more accessible.
