Session Overview
Description
This session will provide an introduction to male erectile dysfunction and a consideration of other common male dysfunctions.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- State the risk factors and pathology associated with erectile dysfunction
- List investigations appropriate to the individual patient
- Discuss the medical management of erectile dysfunction in a step-wise approach
- Decide on appropriate treatment based on individual patient needs
- Identify and demonstrate knowledge of other male sexual dysfunctions

This is the third session of the four in this module discussing sexual problems encountered in a sexual health setting (primarily genitourinary (GU) medicine).
During this session, the therapeutic options for managing erectile dysfunction (ED) will be explored in depth. The different therapeutic approaches will be discussed in order that the learner can individualise therapy according to the patient's needs. An awareness of other sexual problems will also be established.
