This session will cover the natural history, clinical presentation and management of scabies infection and pediculosis pubis in adults.

- Describe the common and rare complications of scabies
- Describe the presentation of pediculosis pubis in adults

- Explain the management of pediculosis pubis

- Module 1/Female Genital Examination (260-0010)
This session covers the aetiology, clinical presentation and management of Sarcoptes scabiei infection in adults and offers recommendations on treatment regimens (Fig 1).
The health promotion principles needed for the effective management of scabies are addressed.
The session also deals with the manifestations of scabies infection in the severely immunocompromised.
The aetiology, clinical presentation and management of pediculosis pubis (pubic lice) are also covered in this session (Fig 2).
Health promotion principles required to treat this largely sexually transmitted infection are addressed.
