Say66 Pty Ltd
Say66 Ptd Ltd was co-founded by Kirrie Ballard (Professor in Speech Pahtioklogym University of Sydney) and Beena Ahmed (Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering/Speech Processing a UNSW). We have designed first-of-its-kind software that effectively engages children in high intensity speech therapy practice for improving speech production and intelligibility. It is designed to be used at home with a parent or at school with teaching/allied health assistants and requires no/minimal training. Being app-based and low cost, our system offers more equitable access to speech therapy regardless of location. Children's progress can be monitored remotely and asynchronously.
Our approach to high intensity speech therapy for speech disorders is based on our 20+ years of funded scientific research (e.g. Australian Reserch Council, Qatar National Research Foundation). Our approach and software have been validated in our clinical trials, showing accelerated speech development when using our software. We are the only group to have developed automated analysis of Australian children's speech to support online screening for speech disorders and remote monitoring of therapy progress. The innovations in our software have been recognised with awards from Speech Pathology Aust., American Speech-Language-Hearing Assoc., Telstra Health, Brilliant Women in AI, and AMP Foundation.
