Stress and Life management Strategies for GPs is the last module of the six active learning modules of the Intensive Course in Clinical Hypnosis for General Practitioners which is given in four consecutive days. This module forms an important part of the intensive course in clinical hypnosis as doctors themselves particularly general practitioners suffer enormous amount of stress and anxiety often in silence, leading onto alcoholism and dysfunctional families and poor professional enjoyment and ultimately depression and other mental issues. Doctors often don’t seek help partly because they are too busy and often because they are at the mercy of the relentless passage of time!. This module strategically placed in between a series CPD modules discreetly addresses the need of hard-working family practitioners.
Relevance to General PracticeResearchers reveal depression, anxiety, alcoholism, dysfunctional relationships, marriage break-ups, substance abuse and suicide among medical profession is increasingly becoming common. In normal circumstances they are too busy and too preoccupied with their own job to look after themselves. Participants in his seminars are given interactive experiential training in meditation hypnosis and stress management. By experientially knowing what it feels like to be in meditation to be under hypnosis is the best way to learn clinical hypnosis. In the process, the attending GPs personal issues and problems and stresses are discreetly addressed as well.
