Description
This session aims to increase awareness of renal, pulmonary and neurological interventional radiology procedures by giving examples of clinical scenarios where interventional radiology can be effectively utilised.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Describe some common renal, pulmonary and neurological interventional procedures that can benefit the medical patient
- Outline the principles of patient preparation and post-procedural care
Image-guided intervention has become increasingly popular in the management of medical patients as a replacement for traditional diagnostic or therapeutic methods.
This session explores ten procedures, concentrating on what interventional radiology can offer the renal, pulmonary or neurological patient.
