Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance

As an allied health assistant, you'll work alongside and support other professionals within a dynamic allied health team. You may be engaged in a specialty area or work generically across an organisation in the delivery of services. You could work in settings including hospitals, aged care facilities, community and rehabilitation facilities.

Upon successful completion of Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, you'll have the skills to provide therapeutic and program-related support to professionals, including speech pathologists, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. You'll also be able to identify client circumstances and the need for additional input from the allied health professional.

This course follows a flipped classroom methodology, where you'll be exposed to learning content online before on-campus tutorials to consolidate key concepts. The classes are a mix of theoretical learning and practical application of skills you'll use in workplace situations once you graduate.

Practical-based assessments are undertaken at our Allied Health Assistance Lab, as well as in the workplace.
