HF and HVD are a spectrum of conditions that are both increasing in prevalence, under-recorded and underdiagnosed on a population-level basis. What will this session provide?
This session will provide an overview of statistics relating to the extent of HF and HVD in England.

It will also explore the definitions of HF and HVD, the causes and consequences of these progressive conditions and the risks of not diagnosing them on an individual as well as population basis.

  • define and describe the aetiology of HF and HVD
  • explain the variation in prevalence of HF and HVD across the UK and in your area
