Preventing Radicalisation - Awareness of Prevent (Level 3)
This session covers the statutory and mandatory training required for Preventing Radicalisation - Awareness of Prevent (Level 3) for all staff including contractors, unpaid and voluntary who are required to have the core L3 competencies as described in the Prevent Training and Competencies Framework. It has been designed to meet the relevant learning outcomes in the UK Core Skills Training Framework.
Session Overview
Learning Objectives
- Understand the objectives of the Prevent duty and the health sector contribution to the Prevent agenda
- Know your personal and professional responsibilities in relation to safeguarding of adults, children and young people at risk
- Understand and identify vulnerability factors that may make individuals susceptible to radicalisation or a risk to others
- Know how to share concerns, seek advice and make referrals within their own organisation and with other agencies where appropriate
- Understand referral mechanism to Prevent case management and understand Channel multi-agency arrangements to provide support and redirection to individuals at risk of radicalisation
- Understand the importance of sharing information and the consequences of failing to do so
