Problematic and harmful sexual behaviours in children under 10 years of age

This webinar provides GPs with advice on responding to children and young people aged 10-17, and their families, where the child or young person has exhibited non-normative, developmentally inappropriate, or harmful sexual behaviours. It covers:
- Identifying concerning sexualised behaviours
- Talking with families about the behaviours
- Understanding child protection reporting requirements
- Knowing when and how to refer to specialist treatment
Learning outcomes
- Discuss sexualised behaviours in children and young people with parents and carers
- Discuss child protection reporting requirements
- Utilise available specialist services and know when and how to escalate cases to specialist psychological responses

Dr Tim Senior

Tim Senior works as a GP at an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service in South West Sydney, and is involved in teaching medical students and GP registrars, and is active in policy development and advocacy in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.
