Career Essentials - Collaboration with other health professionals

This modules is designed for pharmacists interested in learning how to collaborate successfully with other healthcare professionals, predominately GPs. It features case vignettes that assist with learning. It is also quite interactive.
The focus of this module is collaboration; its importance, its benefits and barriers. Practical strategies to improve collaboration and guidelines for referring consumers to other healthcare professionals will also be discussed. It includes a real-life case study and allows you to assess your learning through assessment and interactive case studies. The focus is on assisting the pharmacist to become more collaborative with other healthcare professionalism with the aim of improving health outcomes.
Learning Objectives:
After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:
- Describe collaboration and its importance, benefits and barriers.
- Identify strategies to improve collaboration
- Identify healthcare providers who are open to collaboration.

This activity has been accredited for 1 hours of Group 1 CPD (or 1 CPD credits) suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan, which can be converted to 1 hours of Group 2 CPD (or 2 CPD credits) upon successful completion of relevant assessment activities.
