Providing Care Efficiently course for Allied Health

This session examines ways in which clinical services and leadership can be delivered with greater efficiency and less waste. This session supports the development of leadership in clinical settings.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session you will be able to:

• Appraise, using a case study where resources are being used efficiently and inefficiently, and make recommendations for improving efficiency
• Consider the impact on patients of changes made to improve efficiency, and identify how any negative impact can be overcome
• Evaluate a local service in terms of efficient use of resources, and identify areas for improvement
• Identify cost improvement measures which have been, or which may have to be, taken in the future
• Identify any areas for personal development arising from this module
• Demonstrate your contribution to leadership in the clinical setting by identifying ways in which resources could be used more efficiently
