Learning Objectives

By the end of this session you will be able to:

  • Describe the procedure of obtaining a capillary blood sample
  • Explain how to analyse this in a blood glucose testing meter
  • Interpret the results obtained from a blood glucose test

This session explains how to obtain a blood glucose sample using the capillary finger prick method, how to analyse the sample and then interpret the results.
