Learning Objectives

By the end of this session you will be able to:

  • Identify which infections are sexually transmissible, and which are not
  • Explain which STIs have the biggest impact on health in the UK and why
  • Describe the impact of STIs on people’s lives
  • Recognise how STIs present in a general practice setting

In this session we aim to help the learner to form clear distinctions between the different STIs, and their individual consequences to health, and the health of the population.
